Laura Ingraham: The agenda here is OBVIOUS on AI scare tactics

The leftists have bad political ideas, starting with full-blown socialism, which most voters oppose.

So they have to create crises to win elections. Two decades ago it was Al Gore and his global warming alarmism.

The "peril" of AI is their latest boy-cried-wolf tactic.

Lefties Losing It: Chicago is an embarrassment to America

Even Australia is noticing that Mayor Brandon Johnson is a colossal failure.

Of course, Johnson can't run on his record. So, he releases a humiliatingly awful dance video.

Willie Nile - The Day The Earth Stood Still (Official Video)

Some great music, mostly from Van Morrison and Eric Clapton, was composed during the COVID lockdowns.

Here's another, "The Day the Earth Stood Still," by Willie Nile. The song draws its inspiration from the 1951 classic science fiction movie of the same name. Nile laments the empty streets, which reminds him of the stopping of electricity and more for an hour by Klaatu, the benevolent alien.

Nile even works the foreboding phrase, ""Klaatu barada nikto," from the movie into this song.

It's a great work, although it's a bit too sympathetic to the lockdown insanity of 2020 for my taste.

Chicago street takeovers over Labor Day weekend 2026

There are easy solutions stop the epidemic of stunt-driving street takeovers in Chicago. First, police use spike strips to immobilize the cars. Then, authorities impound the vehicles and charge storage for every day the cars are stored by the city. And finally, suspend the licenses of these menaces behind the wheels.

Problem solved.

How hard is that?

The Kinks - End of the Season (Official Audio)

Because English winters are similar to Midwestern autumns, it's difficult to say if this great Kinks deep cut, "End of the Season" from Something Else, is about the end of summer or fall.

No worries, it's a great tune regardless of the season.

Dolly Parton: Wildflowers

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton.

Here's one of my favorite Parton songs, "Wildflowers," which she first recorded for the Trio collobaration album with Linda Rondstadt and Emmylou Harris.

Here's Dolly singing it on her own.
