03Your side of it

See whether it's working

The badge counts how often it is seen, opened and clicked, on which of your sites and from which countries, so keeping it is a decision you make with numbers.

  • Which app it's actually selling

Every link in the panel, ranked by how often someone took it. After a month you know which of your projects the badge earns attention for, and which line of copy under it was doing the work.

  • Which of your sites is doing the selling

The hostname of the page the click happened on. It is usually not the one you expected: the badge tends to pay off best on the old thing that still quietly gets traffic.

  • How many saw it, opened it and clicked

Every day: how often the badge was on screen, how often someone opened the panel, and how often they took a link, with the rates between them. It is how you tell a badge nobody notices from one nobody wants.

  • Where in the world they were

Views, opens and clicks by country, from Cloudflare's edge. No IP address is ever kept, so it is a map of your audience rather than a list of people.

  • And whether it's installed but dead

If the line is pasted on a site and we're serving nothing there, that gets counted too, and the dashboard tells you which site. A blank corner you don't know about is the one failure this product can have.

Counts, not visitors

No cookies, no storage read, no IP kept. A view, an open or a click tells us what happened and the hostname of the page, Cloudflare adds the country, and we add 1 to a counter. What is stored is integers per day, site, country and link, so there is no visitor record behind any number, for us or for you. Add data-taksh-insights="off" to a script tag and none of it is sent.

04How it works

Three steps. About four minutes.

Set it up once. After that, adding a new app is a single edit, and every site you own updates on its own.

Claim your handle and add your apps

Sign in with Google, pick a username, and list what you've shipped: a name, a link and one line each. The preview is the real badge, so what you build is exactly what goes live.

  2. 2Step 2~30 sec· per site

Paste one line on each site

Your badge is live for free the moment you claim it. The line goes anywhere a <script> tag goes, from Next.js and WordPress to a plain index.html, and it renders in a shadow root, so it can't touch your CSS.

    Update once, every site follows

Ship something new? Add it in one place. Every badge you've installed shows it within minutes, and you never touch those sites again.

About four minutes in total. After that, adding an app is one edit and nothing else.

Start with step 1

It goes anywhere a <script> tag goes

One line, before the closing </body> of each site you own. We wrote the exact file and the exact line for the setups people actually use, including the two that need something slightly different.

On GitHub? READMEs can't run scripts, so there's an image version for your profile. Show your projects on your GitHub profile →

05Who it fits

Built for makers with a back catalogue

It's a small, specific tool with a small, specific job. Here is exactly who gets something out of it, and who doesn't yet.

For you if

You've shipped more than one thing

Two apps, or nine, on however many different domains. The badge needs somewhere to point, and every app you add makes every other one worth a little more.

For you if

Your work is scattered across stacks

A Next.js app, a Framer site, a WordPress blog, one raw index.html you'd rather not touch. One line goes into each of them and they all read from the same profile.

For you if

You launch, then it goes quiet

Launch day does numbers for about eighteen hours and then flatlines. A badge is how launch number five sends people back to launches one through four, permanently.

Just getting started

Shipped exactly one thing?

A badge that cross-links your work needs work to cross-link, so with one app it has little to point at yet. Set it up free anyway: your hub works as a link in bio today, and the badge starts earning the day you ship the second one.

Grow the first one
06App promotion

Promote your apps with traffic you already have

Ads stop the day the budget does, and a launch is over by the weekend. The cheapest promotion a maker has is the visitors their other side projects already get, sent to the rest of their work every day, for as long as the badge is installed.

After the launch

Keep promoting past launch day

A product launch on Product Hunt, Reddit or X brings one good day and then silence. The badge keeps promoting launch one from launch five's visitors, long after the upvotes stop.

Promote a side project with no audience
Cross-promotion

Each app sends users to the next

Every site you own already gets visitors. One small, ignorable badge on each turns that website traffic into traffic for your other apps, with no ads, no pop-ups and nothing per click.

Cross-promote your apps without spamming users
Portfolio

One link for everything you've built

Your maker hub is a portfolio website and a link in bio in one: every project you've shipped and your socials, ready for your GitHub profile, your X bio or a CV.

Link in bio for developers
App growth

See which promotion actually works

Page analytics say who arrived. The badge counts views, opens and clicks per site and country, so you can see which of your apps is growing the others and which link nobody notices.

How to track link clicks
07What you get

Small enough to forget. Useful enough to keep.

Look as prolific as you actually are

Three years of work, one tap away, on every page you own. People find out you built the other thing they use.

Never hand-edit a link again

Add a project once. Every badge you've ever installed updates itself, including the ones on sites you'd forgotten you owned.

It weighs nothing

Under 8 KB, deferred, and the profile it fetches is cached at the edge. It renders after your page does, never before.

Nothing to leak

No cookies, no fingerprinting, nothing third-party unless you ask for it. One GET for your public profile, analytics counters you can switch off (counts only, no visitor behind them), and, only if you link an app to BroFindAI, its live vote count. That's the whole footprint.

It can't break your CSS

The whole badge lives in a shadow root. Your styles can't reach in and it can't reach out: no resets, no !important, no surprises.

Start with the traffic you already have. Every site you own gets visitors, and most of them never learn you made anything else. Put a small, permanent link from each of your sites to the rest, which is what the badge does, then write one page that answers the question your users searched before they found you, and answer that question where people already ask it. Ads buy a day; these keep working. The guide on promoting a side project with no audience goes through it step by step.

Launch day on Product Hunt, Reddit or X is a spike, and by the end of the week it is back to zero. What lasts is anything permanent that keeps sending people: search, links from your other projects, and your profile pages. The badge is the second one. Each new launch sends its visitors to everything you shipped before, and your earlier apps send theirs to the new one.

Your maker hub works as both: a public page listing every app you've shipped, one line each, with your socials underneath, to put in your X bio, your GitHub profile or a CV. The difference from a link in bio tool is the badge. The hub is also shown on every site you own, so people find it from your work, not only from your bio.

Yes. Your badge and your hub go live for free with 2 project links and 1 social link, on as many sites as you like, with every palette, colour and background. When you want more, one payment of $5 unlocks the rest for life: no subscription, no per-site fee.

Yes, live. Claim a handle, add up to 2 apps and a social, pick the shape and colours, and paste the line on your sites. It's the real badge, free, for as long as you like. Pay only when you want more than 2 apps or 1 social, and there is a 14-day refund if it isn't what you expected.

They pick up the extra apps and socials on their own within five minutes. The line you pasted on the free plan is the same line, so you never have to touch those sites again.

One script tag, before the closing </body> of each site you own. It works anywhere a script tag works: Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit, WordPress, Framer, Webflow, a single hand-written index.html. There is nothing to install and no package to add, and the install docs have the exact file and line for twelve setups.

Yes. GitHub runs no scripts in a README, so there is an image version: a small "Made by" pill, or a card listing every app with its one-line description, drawn in your badge's colours and linked to your maker hub. Copy the line from the Install panel in your dashboard and paste it into your profile README. Edit your apps once and the image updates with them.

It's under 8 KB gzipped and loads with `defer`, so it can't block parsing or rendering. It makes one request to render (a cached GET for your public profile) and it renders after your own page has painted. It will not move your LCP.

Not as people. It sets no cookies, reads no storage and fingerprints nothing. It does count, so you can see whether the badge is working: when it's shown on a page, when its panel is opened and when a link in it is clicked, we're told which, and the hostname of the page (no path, no identifier, nothing read from their device), and Cloudflare adds the visitor's country. We keep no IP address. It all goes into counters per day, site, country and link, so there is no visitor record behind any number. Add `data-taksh-insights="off"` to the script tag and none of it is sent. The only call the badge can make to anyone but us is the BroFindAI vote count, and only for apps you have linked there yourself. See the next question.

If an app of yours is also listed on BroFindAI, tick "This app is listed on BroFindAI" next to it in your dashboard and paste its tool id. Your badge and your hub then show that app's live vote count beside it. It's the one thing that makes the badge read a file from anyone but us: a public count, fetched only when a visitor opens the panel, sending nothing about them. If BroFindAI is unreachable the chip just isn't there. Link nothing and the badge behaves exactly as it did before, or add `data-taksh-votes="off"` to a script tag to rule it out on a particular site.

It can't. The badge renders inside a shadow root, which is a hard boundary in both directions: your stylesheet can't reach into it and its styles can't leak out. No resets, no !important wars, no z-index fights beyond the one container.

A public page at maketaksh.com/u/yourname listing everything you've shipped plus your socials. It's what the badge links to, it's server-rendered with real meta tags, and it's yours to share on its own.

Add it in your dashboard. Every badge you've already installed picks it up within a few minutes. The profile is cached at the edge for five minutes, so that's the longest you'd ever wait. You never touch those sites again.

How often your badge is seen, how often its panel is opened and which links are clicked, with the open and click rates between them. Every number breaks down by day, by site, by link and by the visitor's country, and for clicks by which site sent people to which app. Pick this month, last month, 3 or 12 months, compare with the period before, and export it all as CSV. It's counts only: no cookies, no IP addresses kept, no visitor records.

The badge writes a normal anchor to your hub, and your hub links back out to your projects. It's a small, honest, on-topic link between pages you own: the same thing a footer 'more from me' list does. There's no link scheme and nothing to disavow.

More room, for good: up to 50 project links instead of 2, every social instead of 1, and the option to drop the small "Make Taksh" line from the badge's panel footer. One payment, not per month, not per site, not per app. Ship ten more things next year and it still costs nothing extra.

Start on the free plan. A badge that cross-links your work needs work to cross-link, and with one app it has little to point at but itself. It starts earning from your second launch, which the free plan covers, and the unlock is worth it from your third.

No badge on the free plan gets switched off. It is pasted into your websites, and it has to still be there in three years. The lifetime unlock is what pays for the hosting and keeps the maker who built it interested.

Yes. Email [email protected] within 14 days and we'll refund it, no argument and no form to fill in.

Change it in the dashboard. The badge follows automatically, and the old hub URL redirects for a while so anything already shared keeps working.

The badge fails silently. If the script or the profile can't load, it renders nothing at all and your page is exactly as it was. It's designed so that the worst case is invisible.
