Moving a lot of things around, as one sometimes does. Trying to stick to Apple’s offerings for a while, since there’s a new phone, and a lot of life changes. Now on Apple One Ultra Mega Extravaganza tier, topped with all the services (even though some aren’t available here… cough… News… cough…)
It does make the list a little less interesting, if you’re looking for new apps, but I wanted to test the stock apps, now that I have a new phone.
Mail.app has, for now, replaced HEY as mail client, and I even got a new domain just to test iCloud’s custom domain feature. Calendar is getting some love too, but Fantastical will keep the job for the foreseeable future. Reminders.app is still no good for me, and Things is way too amazing. And what a treat to be back on Apple Music! Podcasts is very usable.
Also, and I’m sure this will sadden some, I’ve been testing a couple of AI services. I’m old, I need to keep up, to have a basic idea about these. Wispr Flow has changed my life, that’s a fact, and I’ve been hanging around with Claude, most of the time. Claude is nice.
I miss Quiche. I do. But I’m trying to go full Safari for a while. But I miss it.
