A flat licence per site, never per contact
MailPoet, Mailchimp and Brevo bill per subscriber: MailPoet starts at €10 a month at 500 contacts and reaches about $816 a year at 10,000. MailerPress Pro costs $49 a year for one site, $99 for three, $199 for unlimited sites, whether you have 500 or 500,000 contacts. The price you paid is the price you renew at.

The free plugin on WordPress.org has no subscriber limit and no monthly email quota. MailPoet’s free plan stops at 500 subscribers and 5,000 emails a month; Mailchimp’s at 500 contacts and 1,000 emails.

The team behind MailerPress
A small, independent team of WordPress developers and entrepreneurs based in the Landes, South-West France, with more than a decade of shipping WordPress products. MailerPress was co-founded by Aurélien, Benjamin and a third partner who prefers to stay behind the scenes.

Benjamin founded SEOPress in 2016, the WordPress SEO plugin trusted by more than 300,000 sites. He brings to MailerPress the experience of growing an independent plugin business from the same corner of France.
How MailerPress started
Every WordPress site had to leave WordPress to send a newsletter, each platform with its own login, invoice and export button. In spring 2025 the team started an editor that borrows the block editor’s interface and runs on an engine written for email; the public beta landed on WordPress.org on 23 July 2025, and version 1.0 with MailerPress Pro on 18 October 2025.
Since then a release has shipped every few weeks: custom fields, native forms, Amazon SES and webhooks in versions 1.1 to 1.5, then MailerPress 2.0 on 27 April 2026 with the visual automation builder, the WordPress and WooCommerce email customizer and three new sending services. The current version is 2.1, and what comes next is written in the open.

Getting started
Install the free plugin, no account needed
Search “MailerPress” in your WordPress plugin directory, install and activate: the editor is ready the moment it loads, with no configuration and no sign-up. Pro is a licence key pasted in the settings, and the plugin updates from the WordPress update button like any other.

Sending service
Connect a provider in 15 to 30 minutes
Pick a provider (Amazon SES, Postmark, Brevo, SendGrid…), paste its API key, and authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC following the provider’s guide. The documentation covers each provider step by step.

Who you talk to
Support by the people who write the code
Support is answered by the developers who build MailerPress, in English and in French. Pro customers open a ticket from their customer area; anyone can use the contact form for pre-sales questions, partnerships or press.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Paris time
Support is open on French business days, excluding public holidays. Tickets from Pro customers are handled in priority, and corrective maintenance covers anomalies specific to the plugin.

Docs, FAQ and a public roadmap
The documentation covers installation, the editor, automations, integrations and the developer API. Feature requests and votes live on the public roadmap: beta testers shaped version 1.0, and their feedback still sets the priorities.

Yes. The core plugin on WordPress.org is free with unlimited contacts and unlimited campaigns. MailerPress Pro, from $49 a year, adds AI writing, premium templates, advanced segmentation and priority support.
No. It connects to the sending service you choose (Amazon SES, Postmark, Brevo, SendGrid and others) or to your SMTP server. You keep control of your domain reputation and pay the provider’s rate, about $0.10 per 1,000 emails on Amazon SES.
In your own WordPress database, on your own server. Contacts, campaigns and statistics are never copied to a MailerPress server, which keeps you in charge of GDPR compliance.
Pro covers one site, Business three, Enterprise an unlimited number, including client sites and white-label installations. You can upgrade from the customer area at any time.
