Thank You to My Wonderful Hosts and Visitors!

Happy Hump Day! Wow, the first day of spring is only a week away. Consider me giddy! But saying goodbye to Old Man Winter isn’t the only thing that has me breaking out in spontaneous Snoopy dancing. My book tour for The Keeping Place is now behind me. It was a whirlwind adventure spanning several weeks. I’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all my hosts and to everyone who followed along on the tour, reading excerpts, and leaving comments.

Now that my tour is over, I hope to focus on new material. I have several ideas in the hopper, including a WIP that is at the 70-ish percent mark. I’ve been stalled on it for a while, but would really like to finish and (perhaps) release it in the fall.

I’ve also got two different novella ideas brewing—one for Leviticus and Wyatt from The Price of Atonement, and another silly romp for Declan and Brady from In Search of McDoogal. I’ve done next to zero writing since retiring, so it’s time to buckle down. Fingers crossed!

Marcia is the author of several book series, all of which I’ve devoured and highly recommend. I think the character she’s most strongly known for is “Rabbit” from her Wake Robin Ridge Series—books that blend paranormal elements with mystery. Happy Thursday! Today is stop ten of my promo tour for my new book baby, The Keeping Place. We’re winding down to the end, with only one more stop to go, next week. Today’s visit is a little different, because I’m having brunch with good friend, Noelle Granger. She wanted to chat about the book and decided the best place to do that was at a restaurant—but before I head over to nosh, let me tell you a bit about Noelle.

Her most recent release, Death at the Asylum, is part of the Rhe Brewster mystery series. You can find my review HERE, plus Noelle’s entire collection on her website, Sayling Away. Happy Tuesday! Today is the book birthday for my newest release, The Keeping Place. If you’ve been following my pre-order tour, you’ve already seen several excerpts, but today I’d like to share the opening paragraphs.

Five minutes into Channel 72’s six o’clock news broadcast, veteran anchor Hayden Dalton put a .38 caliber bullet through his skull. Within a handful of hours, the footage was replayed by most every network across the country with the somber warning the video contained “disturbing and graphic images.” According to reports, Hayden left a suicide note pinned to the inside of his jacket.

Scratched on the back of a receipt from the local hardware store, it read only “Tell Glory I’m sorry. It never should have happened.”

And there you have the opening of a dual timeline mystery set in a small rural town. Unlike my previous dual timeline stories which straddled centuries, The Keeping Place alternates between present day and a scant ten years prior. You’ll find more than one mystery tucked inside, and a story that branches into family dynamics, including an estranged mother/daughter relationship.
