Genre: Sein musikalischer Fokus liegt auf Techno, Hardtechno und rhythmischen elektronischen Sets.
Plattformen & Releases: Er veröffentlicht regelmäßig DJ-Sets und Tracks auf Plattformen wie SoundCloud. Zu seinen aktuellen Arbeiten (Stand Januar 2026) gehört das Set „NOT SO EASY 001“, das Anfang 2026 veröffentlicht wurde.
Kollaborationen: Er ist eng mit dem Label oder Projekt ToolTechRecords (tt-rec) verbunden. Dort erschien unter anderem sein Beitrag zur Reihe „LOST PLACES“ (tt-rec pres. LOST PLACES 009).

tt-rec pres. a retrospective of dj sets that had their place on harddrives and servers over years (sometimes) but have the worth to get heard. in this dj set by DJ SMUR you hear some nice grooving techno and so called schranz from back in the days of august2008. there will come more from this stuff. stay tuned

BACKAGAIN - der name beschreibt es... in zeiten wo man mehr informationen ungefragt und ungefiltert einfach zugesendet bekommt muss man gewissermaßen grenzen ziehen. die sets unter dem namen BACKAGAIN sind von artists die theoretisch über jeden zweifel erhaben sind. allerdings kennt man diese nicht, weil die acts in keiner weise selbstdarstellerisch oder überdurchschnittlich viel internetpräsenz haben. der sound steht für sich. exzellente trackauswahl professionell ineinandergemischt. die mixes können auf jedem floor den man sich vorstellen kann funktionieren (oder streams bereichern oder als podcast überzeugen). stilistisch alte (techno)schule, weil die neuen acts erst beweisen sollen, dass sie auch in 3 jahren noch die selben versprechungen machen und vor allem ohne jeglichen kommerziellen zusatz. BACKAGAIN ist kostenlos, weil techno für alle war... für träumer, für tänzer, für einzelgänger und für gruppen. egal welche hautfarbe und vor allem ohne politik.

geniesst dieses dj set von pasquale maassen aka dj smur. er hat seit mehr als 2 jahrzenten jede möglichkeit genutzt um zu überzeugen. konnte durch eigencharakteristik einen mehrwert generieren der nicht zu kopieren ist.
