So where were we? Yes we had just left Whitby....we were packing stuff in on the way home.
First we stopped at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We drove to Goathland.....or some might remember it as Aidensfield in the TV Drama Heatbeat which ran from 1992 to 2010
We went for a train ride to Pickering and back and then a walk around the village.
The steam train had broken down and the diesel train that took us to Pickering had no heating so they were giving out free Yorkshire tea!
We managed a nice warm steam train back to Goathland though!
Then we carried on towards home. We arrived at the Yorkshire Air Museum just in time for a late lunch and a mooch around.
So that was the end of our mini break.
Next was a very lovely lunch with friends at Tattu in Manchester.....
and a cocktail or two at Gino's
then nearing the end of my Easter Holiday I attended a print workshop at Touchstones in Rochdale
Then on the last day of the holiday Hubby and I went to the Transport Museum in Manchester.
And that evening we went to see Chip Shop Chips at Touchstones. A very funny and moving play set in a Chip Shop!
We even had fish and chips!
It was also my birthday!
The garden was looking fab......
| I discovered a new drink |
We had a lovely meal out for my birthday too!
phew....the end of Easter!
