Klaat Code
A terminal AI coding agent that edits local projects, uses hosted model routing, and supports a separate OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

Klaat Code is a terminal AI coding agent for developers who want an assistant to read code, make changes, and run commands in their projects. Its default model routing runs through hosted Klaatu, which receives your messages; file edits and shell commands happen on your machine.
- Automatic model selection. Klaatu chooses a model tier for each request and can escalate when a task needs more capable reasoning, with support for Claude, GPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek.
- Code search and impact checks. A code knowledge graph lets the agent find symbols, trace callers and callees, and examine which parts of a project a change could affect.
- Checks after edits. The agent runs the project's typechecker or linter after a successful edit and sends errors back to the model for correction.
- Read-only planning. Plan mode lets the agent investigate a task and propose an approach before you approve implementation.
- Cost and context controls. Per-task cost tracking, spending warnings, and session caps help control usage, while summary checks identify task details lost during long conversations.
The terminal shows syntax-highlighted code, multi-file diffs, and collapsible tool output. You can use a separate OpenAI-compatible endpoint instead of Klaatu for a session.
With the default hosted service, routing decisions and the code-graph index stay server-side. Installing the client locally doesn't make inference local or offline.
