Context+
A local MCP server gives coding assistants semantic code search, dependency tracing and linked memory, with Ollama or OpenAI-compatible APIs.

Context+ is a local MCP server for developers who want coding assistants to find relevant code and understand the effects of a change across a large project. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and OpenCode.
- Code discovery: Search files and symbols by meaning, or inspect project trees and file outlines that show signatures, classes and types without full function bodies.
- Change impact: Trace where symbols are imported or used, and run native linters and compilers for TypeScript, Python, Rust and Go.
- Checked edits and undo: Its code-writing tool validates changes before saving and keeps restore points for undoing AI edits without altering Git history.
- Linked project memory: Connect concepts, notes, files and symbols in a searchable graph, with Markdown feature hubs that link features to their implementation.
Context+ is free and open source under the MIT license. Its default embedding backend is local Ollama, which supports offline processing on your machine. It also accepts OpenAI-compatible embedding APIs, including OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, vLLM and LiteLLM endpoints. Selecting a cloud provider sends requests to that service. Semantic clustering also uses a chat model to label groups of related code.
