The Accounting Coordinator supports the Chief Accountant in managing the company’s accounting operations.
This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, contributes to financial reporting, and supports the supervision of day‑to‑day accounting activities.
The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Main Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
Assist the Chief Accountant in overseeing accounting operations and ensuring accuracy of financial records.
Handle routine accounting processes for selected entities or jurisdictions.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts (Balance Sheet), ensuring timely and accurate postings.
Reporting & Consolidation
Support the preparation of consolidated accounts and group reporting.
Prepare the quarterly Group reporting.
Prepare and pre‑review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local standards.
Assist in forecasting activities and variance analysis.
Closing & Audit Support
Support the Senior Accountant in the monthly closing process.
Assist the Senior Accountant during statutory external audits.
Support the Senior Accountant on technical reconciliation processes.
Coordination with External Partners
Liaise with external accountants, including collection and review of monthly reporting packages.
Pre‑review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Process Improvement & Projects
Act as a key internal point of contact for Finance IT projects, including SAGE X3, with a focus on process improvement and automation.
Perform other ad‑hoc accounting or finance‑related assignments as required.
Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE, Planful, or similar).
Advanced proficiency in Excel (mandatory).
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Soft Skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills.
Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable improving processes and workflows.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and interact with different cultures.
Qualifications
Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in General Accounting and/or Audit.
Fluent in English and French; Italian is a plus.

Salary: 60 to 65k€ gross per year (depending on experience) + discretionary bonus
