Register for Grad Workshop "Teaching Philosophy Statements: Where to Begin"
This 90-minute session is catered towards graduate students and post-docs who are interested in exploring how to develop their teaching philosophy statements. In this session, presenters will introduce reflective practice as a tool for developing your teaching philosophy. You will be invited to think about your teaching and learning beliefs and your most memorable teaching experiences. This session will introduce different models of self-reflection and ways to incorporate reflective practice in your teaching. The session will end with a review of sample teaching philosophies and suggested ways to collect evidence of your teaching to support reflective practice.
