IDEAMAPS Network | 778 followers on LinkedIn. Integrating our silo-ed approaches to "slum" mapping to generate routine, accurate maps of deprived urban areas at scale | The IDEAMAPS Network was launched in 2020 by the IDEAMAPS Project with funding from a UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) grant. The network and project both grew out of workshops hosted by the African Population and Health Research Center, Slum Dwellers International – Kenya, and UN-Habitat in Nairobi in 2019. The IDEAMAPS Network welcomes field-based community mappers, local governments, academics, and data scientists to collaborate and map deprived urban areas routinely and accurately at scale in low- and middle-income countries.
