GPAS: 2025 Year in Review — ReMatriation, Healing Justice and Liberation from Colonial Violence
Tansi Changemaker, In 2025, Great Plains Action Society (GPAS) continued its vital, Indigenous-led work across Iowa, Nebraska, and the Great Plains — centering Land Defense, Representation, Protecting the Sacred, and Civic Engagement through a decolonial, matriarchal, and 2SLGBTQIA lens. This year started off hard with the sudden loss of Nicole was marked by powerful community mobilization, strategic civic wins, and deep cultural revitalization — all grounded in the belief that another world is not only possible — it’s being built here, now, by Indigenous Women, Femme Folks, and Two-Spirit leaders. If you’re short on time to read everything but believe in the transformative work we’ve done this past year — please support us with a donation right here, right now.
