Theme 1: Outgrow Hunger | Games for Change Student Challenge
Theme 1: Outgrow Hunger | Games for Change Student Challenge
Where do you connect to nature? Maybe itâs a park, garden, or forest. These spaces arenât just beautiful, theyâre essential. They grow food, support wildlife, and help communities thrive. But they need care. This yearâs challenge invites you to explore how local ecosystemsâurban or ruralâare part of global food systems. How can we protect and nourish these spaces to ensure everyone has access to healthy food? How can nature help us build a more resilient, equitable, and hopeful world
Theme 2: Own the Road | Games for Change Student Challenge
Theme 2: Own the Road | Games for Change Student Challenge
Road safety isn't just about rules - it's about real lives. Every year, millions of people are injured or killed in preventable traffic incidents, and car crashes are a leading cause of teen death. But what if you could help change that? Road safety encompasses a wide variety of topics, including urban planning, driving distracted or under the influence, understanding unsafe road conditions, and many more. We need YOU to help increase safe practices in and around vehicles and reduce risky driving behaviors so that our roads and communities are safer for all!
Theme 3: All in for Nature: Reefs & Rainforests | Games for Change Student Challenge
Theme 3: All in for Nature: Reefs & Rainforests | Games for Change Student Challenge
Reefs and Rainforests are like the Earthâs superheroes; they protect us by cleaning our air and water and giving us food, medicine, and they even help us fight climate change. But right now theyâre disappearing fast, and only a tiny part of them is protected - just 15% of land and 8% of ocean. Both ecosystems are home to incredible species, ancient wisdom, and some of the planetâs most magical places. Itâs crucial that we protect 30% of both ecosystems by 2030 to keep our planet healthy. People have stood up to protect these ecosystems before and now itâs your turn to make a difference.
