FARBEON is an El Paso-born, Brooklyn-based Hip Hop artist, educator and agent of change committed to building transformative community-driven events, performances and workshops. As an emcee, poet, singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and photographer he has graced stages, panels and classrooms worldwide. As a cultural diplomat for the U.S. Department of State he has completed both virtual and in-person missions in Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, South Africa, Eritrea, Iraq, Uganda, Bolivia, Liberia and most recently touring as an Arts Envoy throughout Belgium. FARBEON is the founding director of the Hip Hop Re:Education Project, a NYC-based creative youth development organization that engages communities in the artistic processes of Hip Hop culture, inspiring them to transform their world. FARBEON also teaches Hip Hop Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Here are photos from YES Academy Liberia 2023. Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Monrovia, YES Liberia provided high-quality professional training in songwriting, collaboration, music production, performance, music business & cultural entrepreneurship. Over a 10-day period in early December 2023, thirty-six aspiring Liberian singers, rappers, musicians and producers gathered at A.M.E. University in Monrovia, Liberia to write, record and perform new music inspired by the recent Liberian Legislative and Presidential Elections.
