We, the students of Vassar College, demand: FULL DECARBONIZATION OF VASSAR CAMPUS before the end of calendar year 2032 In order to meet this goal, we expect that the College will achieve these three objectives: A Decarbonization Master Plan (for eliminating all campus carbon dioxide emissions) to be included in the 2025 Climate Action Plan A 40% reduction in carbon emissions (compared to 2023) by the end of calendar year 2028 Renovation of existing buildings should be prioritized over new construction, and any forthcoming major renovations should prioritize decarbonization, including (but not limited to) electrification and zero-carbon heating technology. New construction should be limited to only what is deemed necessary to achieve campus decarbonization. Please fill out the form to have your name added as a signatory to the petition as well as our general email list. Link to full petition: Petition to Decarbonize Vassar Campus
