The humble yet powerful combination of rice and beans are staples globally – they represent survival itself. In kitchari, mung beans and basmati rice are slow cooked with loads of water to create a deeply hydrating, protein rich meal that is a brilliant conduit for the medicine of spices. A warm bowl of kitchari with a glistening, golden pool of ghee and a brightening wedge of lemon is a symbol of glorious and abundant well-being. This ultimate kitchen workhorse can be a simple, affordable weeknight meal for the whole family, it can be used to cleanse and rebalance with a mono-cleanse, and it can be used like a classic chicken soup – to cure whatever is ailing you. Mama’s Mung Bean Soup

Cultures around the world rely on bowls of smooth, creamy congee to rebalance and heal. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, our congee uses precious jade pearl rice for its grassy flavor alongside warming fresh ginger. Our Coastal Gomasio is tucked inside to add rich toasted sesame seeds, mineral-rich wild crafted dulse seaweed from the Mendocino coastline, and Sonoma Coast sea salt to your savory congee. Good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this congee can be made savory or sweet. Coastal Gomasio
