I am an immigrant who came to the United States in 1996, became a citizen in 2005 and enlisted in the military in 2018 at age 33. As I was honoring my earned citizenship through service many people told me I was doing it wrong, and yet I was the one doing it, they weren't. This initiated my passion to unpack what it means to be a US citizen on every level. Come take a walk with me and lets figure this out together.
