Snapper Rocks is one of my favorite spots to photograph when the waves are big and powerful. It's the start of the battle ground, where surfers and the ocean go head to head. Jumping off the rocks here isn't for the faint of heart, and I've seen many failed attempts. But the one thing that stands out the most is the raw energy and size of the waves. They will humble any person, and are a big reason why I have such a deep respect for the ocean. In this photo, you can see the waves crashing against the rocks, and the spray of water that rises up as a result. It's a powerful and awe-inspiring sight, and one that I'm glad to have captured.

It's crazy to think that this photo was taken over three years ago. It was one of the first images I created with a professional camera, and it helped define my creative outlook. I used a Nikon D750 with a 70-200 f 2.8 lens, and this focal length is still one of my favorites. To this day, I continue to create with a 135mm lens, focusing on the finer details and using compression to create impactful images. Since taking this photo, I have taken over 500,000+ images, broken a camera from overuse, gotten a water housing to shoot in the ocean, upgraded cameras, and worked with incredible people. I have also developed a style of imagery that allows me to express myself and be vulnerable, creating images that make you think and look twice. Pursuing my dreams of being a creative and visual communicator has been a journey with many ups and downs. There is never a single moment that defines who you are, but a collection of experiences, decisions, and emotions that shape your journey. There is no endpoint or finish line, and it's a way of life that allows you to express yourself in line with your values and beliefs. I could talk for hours about what I have achieved over the past few years, but for now, I will leave you with this. Along any journey, you will have many ups and downs, and it's important to remember to enjoy the present moment. Where you are right now is where you are meant to be, and it's a part of your journey that will help shape who you become. So keep chasing those dreams, even if they scare you and no one else can see the vision and dream that you have. If everyone understood your vision and dreams, it wouldn't be unique and it wouldn't be the true you. Seek to find that highest potential you can reach and enjoy the journey.

I could stare at each one for hours and never get bored. I like to think of these patterns as nature's painting. Wow, this way still blows me away today. I remember this morning like it was yesterday. I was heading out to shoot my mate Adrian. We didn't even check the conditions beforehand, we just decided that the night before that we were just going to go down and shoot sunrise. When we walked over to the beach and saw the waves, we instantly had the biggest grins on our faces. Matched with perfect waves and the fact that I was in a good creative mindset, I was in for a good session. I was able to capture so many beautiful frames this morning.

Finding your style in any creative art form is probably one of the hardest things. I would often get down on myself because I was always trying to create it.But upon taking some time off to go on a trip and get away from my known environment. It became obvious to me. Your style is just a reflection of your experiences, emotions & view of the world.It's so easy with social media to try and keep up with the trends & you can get caught up trying to create content that may not align with your values. I feel into this for a little bit there & lost sight of my why.I have had a few people say lately that my work can be viewed as cinematic & they can genuinely feel a piece of me in it.So I am going to continue to stay true to my why & create content that is in alignment with my values. I have a few projects that I am working on & can't wait to share them with you.
