What we scribble doesn’t always make the final cut, but those discards often carry the most truth. They contain unfiltered morsels of exploration, discovery and personal conviction, fundamental to every creative process. That belief is at the heart of this project, launched in 2025: a platform prodding the sites of meaning making within the creative process, brought to you by Alexx Simone Johnson, a filmmaker obsessed with what makes people tick and how social, cultural, and political forces shape the systems we live in. Scribbled Loose is a platform where artists trace the empirically imaginative spirals of their creative cognition, from minutiae to meaning, focusing on how the contours of life and the socio-political conditions of the world function as fuel for the work.
