Sis, Sell the Business!
Sis, Sell the Business!
The commentary was fast and furious about 2 weeks ago when the news came out that changes had been made to our beloved Honey Pot products and speculation began to swirl that Bea Nixon, Owner of Honey Pot may had sold her business (Bea Nixon HAS NOT sold her business). What I found most interesting was the commentary about the disappointment in the idea that a Black Woman had "sold out" by selling her business. This article is my plea to Black Women business owners to take time to create a succession plan for the amazing business that you are creating; as well as a heartfelt way to inform the consumer about why "selling the business" may be the way to go for your favorite Black Owned brand.
