Hi! I'm Rachel. I was a high school teacher for 12 years, but now I'm a personal chef! I've loved to cook my entire life. I cook for friends and family, and now YOU! I'm a licensed business owner, fully insured, and ServSafe Certified. When I come into your home, I will use the highest food safety standards to ensure you and your family enjoy high quality delicious meals whenever you sit down at the table!

What type of food do you cook?

I love to cook comfort foods, such as spaghetti and meatballs, shepherd's pie and chicken pot pie; however, I also love chicken fajitas and teriyaki chicken. When I want to get more elegant, I love a salmon filet in a puff pastry or a pork tenderloin.

If I'm watching a movie or a show, I love to have themed food, so I even have menus for fans of movies and TV shows, such as, "Friends," "Schitt's Creek," "Hocus Pocus," and "Harry Potter."

Really, I just love to cook it all! I find joy in the kitchen and I would be honored to bring that to your table. Whatever you request, I will do my absolute best to make it happen.

I'm interested in booking. What should I expect?

When you book with me, I will reach out to you directly, so we can plan your menu together. Do you have food allergies, aversions, or dietary restrictions? Need Kosher or organic? No problem! I will collaborate with you at each step to ensure the menu is exactly as you wish.

Is there a minimum order amount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In order to book services, I require an order minimum of $100. If you book “3-day lunchtime meal prep,”for $75, it must be purchased alongside another package. For example, you can book 2 3-day packages OR 1 3-day and 1 dinnertime meal prep package. If the second week is canceled, you will receive an invoice for the additional flat fee + 4% surcharge.

How much do you charge?

All packages are fully customized menus with flat fees that do not include groceries, except event catering.

3-Day meal prep includes 3 entrees and 3 sides for $200 + groceries.

4-Day meal prep includes 4 entrees and 4 sides for $225+groceries. 
5-Day meal prep includes 5 entrees with 5 sides for $250 + groceries.

Event catering pricing is based on your precise needs. Please call 404-372-1244 to discuss all details. An estimate will be provided within 24 hours.

*A 4% sucharge is added to all Tap-To-Pay transactions.*

Question 6

Do you require a deposit upon booking services?

Accepted Answer

No! Full payment is due at the time of service. However, if a service is canceled after groceries are purchased, grocery-reimbursement is required with a 4% surcharge. You will receive a picture of the itemized receipt, as well as an invoice reflecting the total plus the 4% surcharge.
10% interest will be applied for every 30 days an invoice goes unpaid.

Question 8

I have a food allergy or a dietary restriction. How does that work?

When you book with me, I will send you a form asking you all about your needs! Allergic to garlic? I will not bring garlic to your house! Don't like raw onion? I would never dream of giving you raw onion! Can't eat pork? I will not give you any pork options.

My only goal is that you enjoy your food! Whatever it takes to make that happen: you got it!

Do you offer Kosher options?

Absolutely! As someone with Jewish heritage, it is AN HONOR to host my family's Seders each year. I would be honored to provide Kosher services for you, as well!

Do you offer vegetarian, pescatarian, or organic options?

Absolutely! You let me know your preferences and I will make it happen.

Do you offer vegan diets?

Unfortunately no. I’m sorry for any inconvenience.

Do you offer regimented-diet specific options (Keto, Paleo, etc)?

While I will make every attempt to accommodate major dietary restrictions, it is not my specialty. I am more than happy work with you on your dietary journey.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

I do have a few menu options that can be made gluten-free, but it is not my specialty. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I will do my best to accommodate your needs, and if I can't, I will try and point you to someone who can.

Do you offer kid-friendly food or anything special for kids?

Yes! In fact, I offer a "Cooking with Kids" package.
I know that kids can be picky eaters, and getting them invested in their food is a good way to get them to try new things. I bring all supplies, we cook, AND clean up! 
*Requirements:
 - No more than 5 kids
 - Age ranges: 5-7, 8-10, 11-15, 16-17
 - 2 hours for 5-7, 8-10; 3 hours for 11-15
 - At least 1 parent for each child MUST be present for the ENTIRE duration
 - Each child MUST HAVE a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate
 - Flat fee of $100 per child + GROCERIES

1. CAKE! I LOVE a specially decorated cake! I've been decorating kids birthday cakes for almost 14 years. Whether it's a superhero, a Pokemon, an animal, or a video game character - I have you covered! I LOVE IT! Cakes start at $100 and require 30-days advanced notice to allow time for prepping, ordering supplies, etc. Groceries are NOT INCLUDED in the flat fee.
2. Cooking with Kids! You and your child(ren) will get to make memories by cooking age-appropriate menus. Your kiddos taste new things and there's no clutter left in your house when I leave!
3. Lunchtime meal prep: Tired of having to go out for lunch or make a boring sandwich everyday? I offer 3 days for $75+ groceries and 5 days for $100 that comes with 1 serving and 1 side for each day. Enjoy your lunchtime!

Question 16

I've booked MEAL PREP. Now what?

Thank you SO MUCH for trusting me with your culinary needs! I am so excited to work with you! 
Once we get your cook date and menu planned: 
The morning of your cook day, I will go grocery shopping for all necessary ingredients. *I am happy to use anything you already have EXCEPT proteins. All proteins will be purchased fresh.
I will arrive at your home at our confirmed time (typically between 9-10AM) and will need full access to your kitchen for ~ 4-6 hours. Once cooking is done, meals will be packaged and stored. I will clean your kitchen, load the dishwasher, and take out the trash.
I will have an invoice for you with an itemized receipt attached. Payment is due before I leave.

Question 17

I've booked an EVENT or EXPERIENCE. Now what?

Event or Experience Meal prep will either start the day of the event or the day before the event. You and I will confirm prior to your event. I will need full kitchen access for ~4 hours. Once service is over, I will clean the kitchen: including packing and storing items, loading the dishwasher, and taking out the trash. 
I will have an invoice for you with your itemized receipt attached. Payment is due before I leave.

Question 18

How does payment work?

Good question! Payment is due at the time of service and the flat fee does NOT include groceries. I will leave the grocery receipt and the invoice when I am done cooking. I will also email you a copy of the invoice and the grocery receipt. You are welcome to pay in the morning when I arrive or in the afternoon/evening when I leave. Once paid, I will send a follow-up email confirming payment.

Accepted forms of payment:
Cash, check, Cash App, and Venmo
I also accept Apple Pay, and credit and debit card payments, but there is a 4% surcharge added to your total because these are Square or Tap-To-Pay transactions.

Question 19

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to cancel with no penalty up to the time I purchase groceries. 
If a cancellation is necessary after groceries are purchased, I will send you a picture of your itemized receipt with an invoice reflecting the grocery total and a 4% surcharge.

After the first cancellation, I will require a non-refundable $50+4% deposit to rebook services.

Additional cancellations will result in the termination of the vendor-client relationship.
