The Oklahoma Compost and Sustainability Association (OCASA) received 501c3 non-profit status in January 2021, growing out of the Oklahoma Compost Conference planning committee. Our annual conference started in 2015 as a way to discuss how compost can benefit local communities, businesses and the environment. This event features talks from leaders in the field of industrial and community composting, and attendees range from local governments and municipalities, construction and solid waste companies, consulting firms, homeowners and students. OCASA will now be able to expand its educational outreach, advocacy, and other activities to make the power of compost as a sustainable product accessible to Oklahomans.
