The Northeast Mississippi Community College Honors Institute exists to provide students who demonstrate academic excellence with enriched course offerings, diverse opportunities to develop higher-level thinking skills, and experiential learning programs to promote social and personal growth. Students may take courses for honors credit, enjoy one-on-one learning with instructors, receive special advising from the Honors Director(s), benefit from the Honors Institute’s lounge and classroom, graduate with an honors designation, and have the opportunity to transfer to an upper-level honors program through one of our partnerships with area universities.

Students are successful at Northeast Mississippi Community College as they recognize their potential, overcome challenges, and achieve their educational and career goals. The Student Success Center helps students as they build relationships, support students, and empower them to achieve their goals. This shared mission is accomplished through the Three Pillars of Student Success: Academic Advising, Success Coaching, and Counseling.

The College offers comfortable and secure on-campus housing for students. There are five multi-level residence halls available: Murphy Hall, Wood Hall, and Mississippi Hall for women, and White Hall, Wood Hall, and Yarber Hall for men.
