"Dedicated To The Quest For Latino Higher Academic Achievement." | Non- Profit: In 1994 at Danbury High School, less than 20 percent of latino students were going on to higher education, the lowest percentage within any ethnic group. A group of concerned citizens decided to do something about it and The Latino Scholarship Fund (LSF) was born. Within six months the nonprofit raised $10,000 and in 1996 awarded its first 10 students with scholarships.
