Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, GB Young discovered his love for music at the age of fourteen, when he first picked up a guitar and began to write songs. His sound blends the roots of Americana, the soul of the heartland, and the warmth of California’s coastal air—songs that feel honest, lived-in, and deeply human. His latest project is The real GB Young and the Wandering Souls, a trio featuring William Wells (lap steel and Banjitar) and Michael Pliskin (stand-up bass) that expands his sound into richer, roots-driven Americana—anchored in authenticity and soul. Their first single has been released “Not out yet” on all major streaming platforms and their debut album “the Dad’s Club sessions volume 1” will be released soon.
