Six-week canoe trip participants are selected by application only based on previous Camp Stephens Island and Wilderness experience. These young leaders will travel through remote northern areas accessible by paddle or plane only.

At Camp Stephen's Island Camps, campers are encouraged to challenge themselves through a wide range of daily activities such as kayaking, sailing, high ropes, rock tower climbing, swimming, mass games and more. Youth will learn about outdoor living, gain a respect for the natural environment we live in and develop friendships that last a lifetime.

Experience some of the most beautiful areas in Lake of the Woods, Ontario with Camp Stephens Wilderness Canoe Trips. Senior trippers with extensive camp, canoe, counselling and first-aid experience will lead campers on a variety of routes through many remote areas of Ontario's wilderness.

Come and experience camp as a group! Camp Stephens provides opportunities to experience an island camp stay or a wilderness canoe trip as a school group, a family, a work retreat or a friends' getaway. Experiences and dates will vary depending upon the size of the group but our camp staff will work with you every step of the way.

Camp Subsidy
Financial assistance for Camp Stephens registration is available through the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg or the Sunshine Fund to families who are unable to pay the full camp fee.
