Static site: 1 deploy a month (the measured median), a 1-minute build at $0.01 a minute. Bandwidth included up to 20 GB a month per workspace on Free, 1 TB on paid plans.

What you get, per size.
Every plan runs the same sizes; a plan just sets how large you can go. With scale to zero, the default, an app is billed by the hour only while it runs and nothing while it is idle. An always-on instance runs all month at a monthly price.

Nano is available only with scale to zero. Always-on instances come with Starter and up. Full rates are on the rate card.
A month on Starter: two apps and a database used $7.06 of the $19.00 included, so the invoice is the plan price and nothing extra. Extra usage only appears once the included amount is used up.
What counts as usage.
Five meters, the same rates on every plan. Each one counts only while something is actually running, stored, or served.
Instance-hours while a container runs, from $0.115 an hour for the smallest size. Billed only while it runs: idle apps scale to zero and count nothing. An always-on instance runs all month at the always-on price above.
Storage at $0.02 per GB a month, plus the build minutes for each deploy. Bandwidth is included up to fair use: 20 GB a month per workspace on Free, 1 TB on paid plans.
Traffic served by containers at $0.20 per GB.
A shared database is $4 a month. Dedicated tiers are billed by the hour for the tier you provision and start around $9 a month. Database storage is $0.30 per GB a month.
The time a build takes to run, at $0.01 a minute. A static site that deploys once a month uses about a cent.

Container apps default to zero minimum instances. When no one is using an app, it stops running and stops counting. This is what makes many preview environments cheap: they cost nothing while they sit idle.
Go past what a paid plan includes and the difference goes on your next invoice at the same rates. You get an email at 80% and again at 100%, and nothing pauses unless you set a usage limit at checkout. On Free, server apps pause until next month or an upgrade, your sites stay up, and nothing is ever billed.
