I have been watching the new series Bones because it has just started showing on Australian TV. I really wanted to like this it sounded interesting but I just can't. It is too stupid - two episodes ago someone referred to Afghanis as Arabs, last week they totally misrepresented the politics of Venezuela. This would be forgivable if Venezuela wasn't actually rather famous for having a leader who spends a lot of time giving shit to the US government and therefore is something that would be easily googleable or just apparent to anyone who reads a paper.
Last night's ep was the final straw they made comments that assumed that the mother of a male child with a genetic disorder would have visible symptoms of a disorder herself - I am not sure if they would in the case of this specific disease but they weren't specific in the phrasing - and there are a hell of lot of genetic disorders that that are symptomatic in males and only carried by females.
So Bones - I just wish it were a good tv show.
