So like yesterday we had to do unexpected London-ness and then to like make it worthwhile we went to the Science Museum for a bit. We saw the Versailles: Science and Splendour exhibition. It’s cool
There’s like lots of clocks and maps and some medical stuff (including an awesome stitched textile model of like a 7 month foetus and womb for training midwives) - and plants and animals including a stuffed hippo who lived in Louis XV menagerie.
It’s definitely worth going to if you are interested in science history or like just want to look at shiny mechanisms
There’s like one room with video fireworks that has a warning outside that says it “may trigger those with photosensitive epilepsy, or other conditions” it’s like really cool that they have realised there’s like more kinds of flashing imagery problems and that they still matter even though they are less dangerous than seizures
