Josh Bartch

Josh Bartch is an investor, entrepreneur, and consultant with more than 15 years of experience in global capital markets. He has founded multiple companies and has been involved in transactions exceeding $1 billion in value. His professional background includes expertise in deal structuring, financing, mergers and acquisitions, reverse mergers, and business development across international markets.

Josh currently leads MavDB Consulting, LLC as its CEO and is also the founder of Blackstone Mercantile Group.

A Distinguished Career

Josh has focused his career on advising and investing in publicly traded companies listed on major global exchanges. These include the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, London Stock Exchange, Euronext, Canadian Securities Exchange, and Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Josh launched his first business while attending Colorado State University and successfully sold it.

In 2007, he co-founded AudioTranscriptionist.com, a platform that offers transcription services to clients in the legal, medical, academic, and corporate sectors. Known for its efficiency and accuracy, the company built a strong reputation across the U.S. and served clients in various industries.

In 2011, Josh founded Evolutionary Ventures LLC, a private investment and advisory firm specializing in early-stage and growth-stage companies across sectors including technology, consumer, and finance. The firm provides capital structuring, develops strategic partnerships, and prepares companies for initial public offerings and public listings.

In 2020, Josh moved to Puerto Rico and established MavDB Consulting, LLC. The firm offers corporate advisory services, with a special focus on capital markets strategies, investor relations, and support for cross-border listings. As CEO, he works closely with executive teams and boards to help companies prepare for uplisting, financing rounds, and global expansion.

Josh’s approach with MavDB is to operate as an extension of each client’s internal team. Drawing on long-standing relationships in the industry, he helps clients identify key markets, connect with decision-makers, and create pathways for sustainable business growth.

In 2024, Josh launched Blackstone Mercantile Group Ltd SAC, a smart fund based in the Bahamas. Created under the Bahamas’ Smart Fund regime, the fund provides flexible investment options for sophisticated investors seeking exposure to global markets. It focuses on identifying high-potential opportunities through data-driven methods and a disciplined risk management framework. The goal is to deliver consistent returns while complying with international financial standards.

This initiative reflects his strategic intent to leverage the Bahamas’ financial framework in developing investment solutions tailored to the global capital markets environment.

Bartch’s Philanthropic Work

Josh is also active in philanthropy. He has donated to ND Hope to support school construction in Africa. In addition, he supports organizations that assist veterans and first responders and donates annually to Boxing Bullies in Puerto Rico. This non-profit organization, founded by Jake Paul, promotes youth empowerment through boxing and helps combat bullying. The organization has opened and renovated several gyms, providing spaces for young people to develop leadership and confidence.

He also contributed to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico following the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria.
