Jev vs Laya

Hosted Jev access and open local deployment solve different constraints.

Last updated:

At a glance

  • Compare hosted Jev with local Laya first on deployment constraints, then on independently labeled decisions. An open license does not establish lower total cost or better accuracy.
  • Keep the same business categories, but calibrate each model’s thresholds separately. Clef and Strands Decider widen the candidate set; evaluate only those that fit your operating requirements.

Control and operations

Jev through OpenRouter is a managed API path for this site. Laya’s published code and weights make local operation possible. Decide first whether your inputs may leave your environment and whether your team can maintain an inference service.

Test the actual decision

Use identical states and business labels for an independently labeled evaluation set. Keep tuning examples separate, and calibrate thresholds for each model rather than assuming equivalent probabilities. Compare wrong automatic routes, review volume and total workflow cost. Pin Laya’s model and runtime revision in the report so a future update can be tested against the same cases.
