Hello Everyone! Today I am excited to officially join The Flower Challenge Blog team. I've been working behind the scenes on social media for about a month, but today is the first challenge. I am so happy to be joining to celebrate 7 years of challenges!
There are some special guest designers joining to celebrate, but also to say goodbye to Viv and Aileen - the founders of the challenge, who have put in a lot of heart (and cards) for the team. They will be missed!
The theme this month is "Anything Goes" so I am sharing a beautiful card made with layered stencils from Taylored Expressions called Poppy Fields. It was the August stencil gift with purchase. I hadn't had a chance to ink it up yet, but this was a perfect day.
The stencil has four layers, and was so fun to create. Poppies are my favorite flower. I used Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint & Black Soot. The sentiment is from The Greetery. I cut the die a little offset so it would have a shadow effect. My favorite metallic gold thread finished the card with a Mossy Meadow and Basic Black card base.
