マテウス・ジェズス（Matheus Jesus）ことマテウス・ソウザ・デ・ジェズス（Matheus Sousa de Jesus、1997年4月10日 - ）は、ブラジル・バイーア州サルヴァドール出身のプロサッカー選手。Jリーグ・V・ファーレン長崎所属。ポジションはミッドフィールダー（ボランチ）。

ガンバ大阪での登録名はマテウス。

経歴

ポンチ・プレッタ

フラメンゴのユースを経て、2015年にポンチ・プレッタのユースチームに加入した[1]。2016年に監督のエドゥアルド・バチスタ（英語版）によってトップチームに引き上げられ、5月5日に行われたコパ・ド・ブラジルのジェヌス（英語版）とのアウェー戦（1-0で勝利）に先発出場したのがデビュー戦となった[2]。

2016年5月13日、ホームのジェヌス戦（3-0で勝利）にてシニアにおける最初のゴールを記録した[3]。その2日後、フィゲイレンセとのアウェー戦（1-1引き分け）にてカンピオナート・ブラジレイロ・セリエAに初出場、[4]、5月18日に契約期間を2020年12月まで延長した[5]。

デビューシーズンとなった2016年のセリエAではリーグ戦24試合に出場、チームはコパ・リベルタドーレス出場圏から勝ち点4差の8位になった。彼の好パフォーマンスは、スポルティングCP[6]、フィオレンティーナを含むヨーロッパの複数のクラブから関心を集めた[7]。

2017年のカンピオナート・パウリスタにもレギュラーとして出場し、チームは2位となったが、マテウス・ジェズスは「規律の乱れ」により2017年5月にファーストチームから外された[8]。

エストリル

2017年6月28日、プリメイラ・リーガのGDエストリル・プライアと5年契約を結んだ[9]。

当初、サンパウロへのローン移籍に向けて交渉が進んでいたが、成立しなかった[10]。

サントス（ローン）

2017年7月18日、2018年12月までのローン移籍でサントスに加入した[11]。同クラブではアリソンとレナトのバックアッパーとして、14試合に出場した。

ガンバ大阪（ローン）

2018年3月7日、同胞のレヴィー・クルピが監督を務める日本のガンバ大阪へのローン移籍が発表された[12]。J1第11節・サガン鳥栖戦の後半アディショナルタイム+2分に、強烈なミドルシュートでJリーグ初得点となるゴールを記録[13]。Jリーグデビュー戦から第17節まで全試合に出場を続けていたが、監督が宮本恒靖に交代した第18節以降は出場機会が無くなり8月11日、G大阪との期限付き移籍を解除された[14]。

ポルティモネンセ（ローン）

2018年8月、プリメイラ・リーガのポルティモネンセSCにローン移籍。リーグ戦1試合のみの出場に留まった。

オエステ（ローン）

2019年1月、オエステFCにローン移籍。

V・ファーレン長崎

2023年8月17日、V・ファーレン長崎に完全移籍[15]

2024年、下平隆宏監督の指揮下で得点能力が開花した[16]。

U-20ブラジル代表として2016年、イングランドとの親善試合にて、75分からエンリケとの交代で途中出場した[17]。
