What is a social media API?
A social media API lets your app work with social platforms. InvisibleAPI gives you one integration for publishing and scheduling on Instagram and X, plus access to Instagram insights through the dashboard and MCP.
Which platforms does InvisibleAPI support?
Instagram and X are live today. On Instagram you publish images, carousels and videos (videos publish as Reels) with professional accounts. On X you publish text posts up to 280 characters, up to 4 images, or a single video. TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube are coming soon.
What do I need on the Instagram side?
An Instagram Business or Creator account. Connect it in the dashboard and we handle token refresh. If authorization expires, reconnect the account.
How does media upload work?
Add public URLs for your images or video to the publish job. Use several images for a carousel. We handle the platform publishing steps.
Can I schedule posts?
Yes. Set requestedPublishAt on the job and it publishes at that time. You can list scheduled jobs at any time and cancel any job before it is dispatched.
What happens when a publish fails?
You get an error code, a reason and an email notification. If the job can be retried, you can retry it up to 5 times without publishing twice.
How does the MCP server work?
Connect Claude or another MCP compatible tool using an organization API key with MCP scopes, or OAuth consent. Choose the organization it can access. It can then create, schedule and manage posts.
What are the limits?
Each connected account can publish 100 posts per billing period. Check the limits endpoint to see how many posts remain.
How do the trial and billing work?
Start with a free trial for 7 days through Stripe checkout. Then pay $9 a month for 2 connected sources, plus $5 for each additional source. Manage your subscription in the Stripe customer portal.
