Your I Ching
Cast a hexagram yourself and read it with AI guidance
About Your I Ching
Your I Ching is an online I Ching oracle where you cast the hexagram yourself and then read it with AI assistance, rather than having a result generated for you. The distinction is the whole design: in classical practice the casting is the act that matters, and a site that simply returns a random hexagram with commentary has skipped the part the tradition considers essential. Here you ask a question, perform the cast, and the reading follows from what you actually cast, including the changing lines.
The AI layer sits on interpretation. Changing lines are where the I Ching becomes genuinely difficult to read, since they turn one hexagram into another and the relationship between the two carries the meaning. Explaining that relationship in plain language, in the context of the question asked, is a reasonable use of a language model, and it is what most beginners get stuck on with a printed edition.
Pricing is unusually transparent for this category. Every quota, renewal, cancellation and refund term is stated before checkout, and one of the paid options is explicitly a single-reading unlock rather than a subscription, with the page noting plainly that this unlock is never unlimited.
Ask a question, then cast. The site walks through the cast rather than producing a hexagram instantly, and the resulting lines, including any changing ones, determine the reading.
Read the interpretation. The guidance covers the primary hexagram, the changing lines and the resulting hexagram, with the AI explaining how they relate to the question rather than reciting a generic entry.
Ask follow-ups. Each reading includes a number of complete follow-up exchanges, which is the metered resource here: the free allowance covers the first five follow-ups per reading, and paid tiers raise that to twenty or fifty. A one-time unlock deepens the reading you are already in without granting a new cast.
- •You perform the cast - The hexagram comes from your own casting rather than being generated, which is the part classical method treats as the point.
- •Changing lines handled properly - The reading covers the transition between hexagrams, which is where most beginners lose the thread.
- •Follow-up questions as the unit - Depth is metered in complete follow-ups per reading rather than in messages, so a reading can be pursued properly.
- •A single-reading unlock - $1.99 deepens the reading you are in, without a subscription and without a new cast.
- •Stated terms before checkout - Quotas, renewals, cancellation and refunds are published on the pricing page rather than discovered later.
- •Hexagram reference and learning material - A browsable hexagram library and learning section sit alongside the oracle itself.
For people with an existing interest in the I Ching who want help with interpretation rather than a novelty generator, and for beginners who own a translation and cannot make the changing lines cohere. The free allowance, three readings for a signed-in account, is enough to decide whether the interpretation is worth anything to you.
This is divination and makes no testable claim about the future. The AI produces fluent, contextual prose, and fluency is not accuracy or insight; anyone using it for a decision that matters should treat it as a structured way to think rather than as advice. Note also that the free tier does not renew: three readings is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one.
