The past week or so has been really Wintery here – lots of rain showers and coldness. You would think it is perfect weather for crafting – but actually I have not felt very motivated at all.
So when it came to creating a card for this week’s Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge – I enlisted a couple of friends to help me through the process.
We had the sketch to start with and then started looking at the Thoughtful Journey DSP. It’s such lovely paper with pretty colours.
I chose a couple of pieces of DSP and cut some strips to match the Sketch and then placed them on a base card…..then I said to the ladies, what if I made the panels slightly different widths.
Back to the drawing board to choose another piece of DSP and cut some more strips.
Then the ladies helped me to decide on what to do with the rest of the card. Some suggested embossing, some suggested pierced dies but in the end I went with a plain layered panel.
I then tried sentiments in different colours and background leaves in different colours too. After mixing and matching a couple of things I settled on the final card and finished putting it all together.
