 | Reflecting on the past year is a wonderful way to gain perspective and appreciate the journey. Consider the highlights and achievements you've had, no matter how big or small. It could be personal growth, relationships strengthened, or challenges overcome.
Looking forward to the New Year, think about setting intentions or goals that inspire YOU. New experiences, new skills, new movements, new goals, or simply fostering new and better connections with others, but most importantly connecting with yourself -- you'll grow stronger every day! We LOVE Get Ups at the studio and find that when working through this beautifully strong exercise and movement pattern the gains are immense. Stronger shoulders, core, hips, legs, and smoothly integrated movement with or without load. Our simple goal to start 2025 on the right footing will be the February Get Up Challenge! In January we'll continue working on the skills of the Turkish Get Up, and then in February, we'll jump right into our February Challenge: 10-Get Ups each day, loaded or unloaded 🙌 we'll create a special board for everyone to check-in and share their progress -- there will be a version for every level of ability!!! Get Ups are a fundamental movement pattern that helps keep your shoulders mobile and strong, engages your core, integrates your movement, and gets you STRONGER. - SATURDAY 1/25 - STRETCHING FOR STRENGTH! Can you really make a difference in just 15 minutes? The amazing truth is a big fat YES! Strength stretching is a type of mobility work that can get you more limber, more malleable, and create length in tissues that need to be lengthened in order to access better movement and strength. - SATURDAY 2/1 - 💥OUR FEBRUARY GET UP CHALLENGE BEGINS💥Perform 10-Get Ups every day for the month of February! We'll definitely be working on this at the studio, but you can also get your Get Ups in at home -- loaded OR unloaded: use a box of tissues, a shoe, a dumbbell, a kettlebell, or just your bodyweight - it takes about 40-seconds to do ONE Get Up from beginning to end 👍 we'll even help you figure our what KIND of Get Up is best for YOU to keep you safe and effective! Every rep counts in February and we'll see how much stronger we can get with just 10-minutes of movement each day!
