hhimringOne insta-drabble only from me this time, but it was a productive session, generally, and I enjoyed reading the other people's!
Celegorm on Maedhros and the Oath:
When I was knee-high to you, I was always accepting the wrong dares, getting into trouble stuck up trees and down pits, but you always came to fetch me. And when I was older and strayed farther, still I could send Huan for you, still you came.
This was a worse dare than any! I would never have let you stop me taking it, if you had tried. And yet I cannot help it; I think reproachfully: why you did not, why you got enmeshed yourself, why you do not save me from myself even now. But I cannot ask.
