Step 9: Create a Bit Wiki

Bit's wiki system allows you to transform any Bit document to a wiki, by adding additional subpages that are linked to it through a navigation panel on the left hand side. Wikis are one of the smartest ways to share comprehensive knowledge that makes it easier to read, collaborate on and share beyond a scrollable document.

Bit wikis can be used for personal notes, internal knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams, externally with clients, embedded on a website and even tracked to understand user engagement levels.

1. Open up a Bit document and click on the 'Wiki' icon on the left side of the top bar.

2. A panel will slide open allowing you to create subpages. Click on 'Create Subpage.'

3. Continue clicking on 'Add Subpages' to create a connected document tree.

4. Click on the 'three dots' icon on the right side of any of the subpages within the tree to continue nesting subpages.

5. If you'd like to publish and share your Bit wiki with the outside world, go to the parent document in the wiki. On that document you will see a share option and you can either share your Bit wiki as a live link, embed it onto a website or create a trackable link and track user engagement!
