Deep in the Heart of Texas

 Last week, I was able to fly home for spring break! Last time I was home, I came down with the dreaded FLU the entire time. SO grateful that this time I wasn't sick at all! { It was only a couple days after I flew back to Utah that I got Strep Throat for 5 days. I get so lucky! :)

I had a lot of fun with my mom, dad, and sister, Celeste. She's a senior this year and about to turn 18 this week! I can't even believe it. We had a lot of fun hangin out.

I love hat shops. {Mainly because they're good photography spots.}

I was SO excited to be able to drive down to Temple, Texas to see my best friend, Emily and my cousin Ben and their cute girls, Abby and Gracie. Emily was my very first college roommate when I moved to Provo to go to BYU for a summer. We lived in the dorms together. We have SO many fun memories and we're SO much alike { Ben reminds us of that all the time. haha.} Over the years our friendship gets stronger and stronger. It's been so fun to see Emily and Ben raise a cute little family together. Emily is expecting a little girl and is due in June. She's the cutest little pregnant lady EVER! 

These girls CRACK me up. 

They are ADORABLE and SO much fun! 

I am super excited for these guys because they were just matched with Ben's first pick: Loma Linda for Residency. They are moving to California in a couple of months and I couldn't be happier for them. Hopefully we'll live by them one day! :)

I always LOVE going back home to Texas. There's just something about that place that I just LOVE. I also enjoyed the nice, warm weather...since it's s still cold in Utah. I always love driving around with Pops. We have a lot of fun and share lots of WONDERFUL conversations together. 

Ashley and Lance come back from Brussels in about 3 weeks! We are SO excited to see them! 

Right now they are BACK PACKING through Europe. Literally. They are hopping from train to train to see all of it. Here's their Itinerary:

ps- My little brother, CJ has about 14 months in the mission. He's in Brazil and LOVING it! 

We are SO excited to see him this Christmas! 

Talented

My baby sister, Celeste, is SO talented! She loves to paint, draw, and create! She recently painted a few canvas' and they're now hanging at a restaurant in Denton ( Rockin Republic.) 

I had to go there and take some pictures... she was embarrassed... but I'm too proud of her to NOT! :)

MCAT

As most of you know, Nick will be taking the MCAT in May. Boy, what a DIFFICULT test the MCAT is. He's been studying his TAIL off since January. The MCAT can be scary, and I know how badly Nick wants to do so well on it. He works SO hard and he's so diligent.

See? look at him go!

He's been busy doing a research project.

Something with mice and microscopes?

I've seen how stressful studying for the MCAT can be... so I decided to go out and get some of Nick's favorite things (and some fun things) to put in a basket for him to see when he got home from school yesterday. I made him "an MCAT survival kit" of course.

He's definitely ready to ROCK that test now! :)

A baby shower for Kristi

My dear friend, Kristi, is having a baby girl (Anna) here in a couple of weeks. I was thrilled to be able to throw her a baby shower. We had so much fun! A small group of her close friends and family came. Even her mom flew in from California to be here for it. I LOVE her mom and it was a lot of fun to see her! Even Kristi's weird brothers stopped by. ( Note: I mean "weird" in a good way.)

I had SO much fun decorating and getting everything ready! I am so thankful to everyone who brought food! I couldn't have done it without their help! I wish I would have taken more pictures of Kristi and her cute belly! Luckily, I'm taking a few maternity pictures of here in a few days, so you'll get to see those. It was a lovely shower!
