2026 Timeline
Prompting: 11 January 2026 Claiming: 1 February 2026 Submissions Due: 14 June 2026 Posting Begins: 1 July 2026
Because the submission date is mid-June, we don’t tend to open the form until after our first check-in (generally around April time).
However, if you have in fact completed your fest work, then please email us at hdwirelessmod@gmail.com or send us a DM on tumblr, and we’ll arrange for the submission form to be opened.
Congrats if you are ready to submit - we are very impressed. You totally rock!!
hi! long-time drarry reader & thinking of joining the fest with a fic, but i don't have any experience with beta readers or publishing on a03 specifically. what advice would you have for finding a beta? your r&g just says to reach out :-)
Hi there anon! We adore first timers! So wonderful and exciting to see the crop of new talent each year.
Many people reach out on Drarry discord servers (such as Drarry Fans, Writers & Artists or The Drarry Pit) to source a beta reader - there are generally dedicated channels for doing this. If you’d like an invite to any please send a tumblr direct message or an email to hdwirelessmod@gmail.com. You can also ask on other platforms (tumblr/reddit, etc) but please be mindful not to de-anon yourself publicly by giving away too much detail about your fic in your beta request.
In terms of posting to the fest collection on AO3, we made a guide for doing this some years ago. The links are not up-to-date but it’s still the same procedure. You can find the post here
Looking forward to your participation! We believe in you!
🎶 Are you all mixed up, feeling cornered and rushed? It’s not your fault that you want it so much You can try to pretend, you can try to forget But it’s driving you mad, going out of your head

Whatever you dream up for them, for whatever song, prompt it right here using our Prompting Form!
Remember, there are a maximum of 5 prompts per person. Any extra prompts will end up being deleted. Please see all our Rules and Guidelines for prompting HERE
We recommend prompting a few additional idea details as well as the song title, it will help get the potential claimants creative juices flowing!
You can view the submitted prompts here in the Prompt Gallery. (Please be patient for them to appear as the mods check and approve each one ✅)
SELF_PROMPTS: Self prompting for a work you yourself wish to create is possible and will be an option on the Claiming form which will open on 1st February. More info about that can be found in the rules (see Rules link above)
❗ Prompting will close on 26th of January, or once we reach our cap of 300 prompts. ❗
PODFICCERS: The Podfic Prompt Gallery has been collated, and here you can view the list of consented Wireless fics. So far there are 241 amazing fics available to claim for podficcing when claiming opens on 1st February!
Prompt it all, baby!!!
Prompting closes on Monday 26th January. Four days left to get your prompts in!
Per your last posted ask—I understand the logistical reasons you’ve given, but I want to flag that an English-only rule has a real exclusionary impact, especially in a fandom like Drarry, which has a long, rich history of non-English creators and global participation.
Disallowing songs in other languages (even with translations) unintentionally privileges native English speakers and narrows the cultural range of inspiration. It’s worth reflecting on how rules like this shape who feels welcome and whose creativity is considered “accessible enough” to include.
I ask that you reconsider this rule, as it unintentionally paints your fest as welcoming in theory, but exclusionary in practice.
Hi nonny,
Thank you very much for your ask. We always like to hear the views of the Wireless Fest fans.
You’re right about the importance of works inspired by non-English songs, as well the importance of non-English creations in the Drarry fandom. Three of the four mods in our team are multilingual (and two are ESL) and have had the privilege of reading and enjoying some of these types of creations.
When it comes down to it, modding is a lot of work, and not an insignificant amount of responsibility. In our fest, at the end of the day, we have to take a portion of the responsibility for the creations that make up the fest works. It was for this reason that we previously implemented the rule regarding English songs. Despite the fact that we cover 5 languages between us, we knew we couldn’t cover every language and didn’t want to only allow the specific non-English languages we could cover. That didn’t seem right to us.
We’re not going to change the rules now that the fest period has started; once some people have participated and left their max amount of prompts it is not fair to change the rules. However we do keep a list of suggestions for future years, and we will review this rule at the end of the year.
Hi lovely mods! I am so excited to submit some prompts for wireless!! I saw in the rules that all songs with lyrics must be in English. Would I be allowed to submit a song in another language (for example my fav kpop song) and include an English translation? Thanks for running the fest again 💕
Hi there
Thanks for the ask! So pleased you are excited to submit some prompts 💝
Because we have limited spaces on our prompt list we specify English language songs (or majority-English, or instrumental). It is also for ease of perusal for participants, and also we don’t have the expertise to check the quality/validity of any translations.
Hopefully you can find some songs you love in English that will inspire our creators!
hello!! considering joining for the first time this year but i’ve been wondering if there’s a discord server for the fest? it helps me to connect with other fest creators and motivate more to write if there is so thought id ask :) thanks!!
Hey there,
We are so pleased to hear you are thinking about signing up for Wireless this year! You are very welcome to the party!
There isn’t actually a dedicated fest server for Wireless. But we can recommend joining one of the public Drarry servers out there if you want to connect with other creators, such as Drarry Fans, Writers & Artists, the Drarry Pit, and Drarry Microfic Madness.
