🚀 #ENISA Highlights from a week of engagements! Last week, Razvan Gavrila, ENISA's Head of Sector for Market, Technology, and Product Security and Nuno Rodrigues Carvalho, ENISA’s Head of Sector for Incident and Vulnerability Service flew to 📍 Las Vegas, USA for a series of prominent cybersecurity related events and discussions.   ▪️ In a session titled "Preparing Europe for the Vulnerability Storm: Coordination, Capacity, and Collective Response" at the “Weathering the Storm: Cybersecurity in the AI Era” conference, co-organized by RSAC, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and the Nevada Institute of Cybersecurity at UNLV, they discussed how European institutions, national CSIRTs, vendors, and critical sectors are preparing for higher report volumes and shorter exploitation timelines and what operational changes are needed to build greater vulnerability-absorption capacity across Europe.   In the same event, they also participated in two other panel discussions titled “From Signals to Systems: What Must the Vulnerability Ecosystem Build Next?” and “Who Absorbs the Shock? Sector Coordination for AI-Driven Vulnerability Response”.   ▪️ At Black Hat, Nuno Rodrigues Carvalho alongside Lindsey C., Branch Chief for Vulnerability Response and Coordination at the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), reflected on the global evolution of the CVE Program, its priorities, and joint initiatives aimed at enhancing its impact on global cybersecurity. He highlighted that ENISA plans to elevate its role in the CVE Program, working toward Top-Level Root status in the coming months.   ▪️ At DEF CON, they spoke about ENISA's expanding role in the vulnerability management ecosystem, with its role as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) and CVE Root for Europe, the development of European Union Vulnerability Services that include the European Vulnerability Database (EUVD) and the Single Reporting Platform (SRP). They presented how these services fit together and how the SRP can enable coordinated reporting of actively exploited vulnerabilities, while supporting better situational awareness, trusted coordination, and more accurate, high-fidelity vulnerability information across the ecosystem.   In a later session, Razvan joined a discussion on agentic AI and its role in the global cybersecurity ecosystem, particularly in light of the increased security requirements introduced by new policies and regulations in the EU and worldwide.   🔒 ENISA is demonstrating its commitment to strengthening cybersecurity and positioning itself as a driver and facilitator of collective efforts to build a more secure digital world.    🙏 Thank you to all the organisers for the opportunity to contribute to these meaningful interactions, fostering dialogue and exchange of ideas across the global cybersecurity community!

⬆️#ENISA scales up its role in the CVE Program 🤝NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) along with AI and cybersecurity innovator, AISLE™ join the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Numbering Authorities (CNAs), under the ENISA Root. This brings the number of CNAs under ENISA Root to 20. ✅The addition of new CNAs from across multiple sectors further supports the objectives of the CVE Program of expanding global participation, broadening diversity of participating organisations, improving quality, and increasing operational capacity.
