Can't use menu ul class with partial

The variable \Zend\View\Helper\Navigation\Menu::$ulClass value is not assigned to use in the partial file.

eg:
partial/navigation.phtml
<ul class="<?php echo $ulClass;?>">
...
</ul>

<ul class="<?php echo $this->navigation()->menu()->getUlClass() ?>">
