Upgrade from 20260216 to 20260415, can not login

This afternoon I upgraded from 20260216 to 20260415 within rAudio interface using addons. I rebooted. I now get a different login screen that says "Set root password:" with a password input, confirm input, a show password icon, and a ok button. Passwords default to clear test, show password button does nothing, and entering a new root password, the ok button does nothing. Can't login. I was using the default root pass before the upgrade. And I tried ssh'ing into rAudio and changing the root password, but still get the new login prompting a new root password that does not work. Please advise. I have an image of 20260216 that I can roll back to. Thank you.
