Description

@gerhardmueller1

deleting Fallback Eco Temperature Input leads to "unknown entity selected"

Description

After deleting the entry in "Fallback Eco Temperature Input" the entry seems OK, but after reloading the "Fallback Eco Temperature Input" shows an error/warning.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open automation
  2. go to "Eco mode settings" and delete fallback entity
  3. save
  4. close and reopen automation (or refresh Browser / F5)

Expected Behavior

value in "Fallback Eco Temperature Input" should be empty, no error/warning

Environment

  • Client: OS: Win 11 - Browser: Firefox 146.0.1
  • HA Server: Home Assistant OS 16.3; Core 2026.01.0
  • AHC blueprint: Version 5.5.4

Additional Context

  1. same problem occurs at entries for "Fallback Comfort Temperature Input", "Comfort Temperature" and "Eco Temperature"
  2. as workaround I configured "Fallback Eco Temperature Input" and "Eco Temperature" with the same helper
  3. for me it seems the automation will not be executed if the entries are not set / in error state. I'm not sure if that's the cause, but the temperatures in several rooms have not been adjusted until I set up the workaround
