Hi @shweta98 ,

If you could provide a little more detail about your problem it would be easier to assist you. Most problems with deploying to GitHub Pages are due to the index.html not being in the root of the repository, which is the mandatory entry file for your site. Also note that if you are trying to deploy a private repo, it's not possible if you don't have a PRO subscription.

Also take a look at the docs on 404 errors troubleshooting.

I have the same problem. I have been using GitHub education for years and I host all my course webpages on github. I recently got renewed for my Pro subscription and all my class webpages are down. These are ongoing classes so a quick fix is appreciated.

Can i have a look at the structure of your code in github?
Most probably GitHub is unable to find the entry point in ur repo which is usually index.html

Hey @shweta98 don't worry then, the waiting time may vary depending on different factors, such as the volume of requests; it usually takes a few days, but sometimes it can take a little longer, even a couple of weeks.

When the benefits become available, the status label will turn purple and change to:

• Congrats! Your request for @shweta98 was approved and your benefits are now available.

@shweta98 Here is a temporary solution that I used: Rename the repo to something else. Create a new repo with the old repo's name and its content copied from there. Enable GitHub pages on the new one. Delete the old repo.

This is clearly a bug on GitHub's end.

Hey @erdogdu , this solution works for users with a PRO subscription, such as in your case, but @shweta98 is still waiting for her benefits to be available, then she will be able to deploy a private repo on GitHub Pages.

All of my previously and newly hosted projects are receiving 404 error. They were all working before fine. We have a competition coming up and need to host the site for it. Please get this fixed GitHub! I have found no workaround.
