Is there GitHub support, really? #149432

Hi @metehan-ugus ! Yes, GitHub does have support, but it can take some time for them to respond, especially if it’s a busy period. For your issue, if you’re using the same email on your new account, your commits from the old account should show up, but you might need to update the email settings on your new account to match the one used on the old account. Unfortunately, they can’t recover your old repos, but they can help with showing commits under your new account. As for GitHub Pro and Copilot, if you can’t access your old account, try reaching out to GitHub support to explain your situation. They may be able to help transfer the Pro benefits to your new account. It can be a bit frustrating, but don’t worry—you’re not alone, and GitHub support should be able to assist you. |

On December 4, 2024, I reported a very simple but very important issue for me. Since I lost access to my old account (the damn 2FA has given me a headache.) I need help on a few important points! And yes, I know I can't recover the repos and that was not my request.
I need the commits from the disconnected account to show up (I had to create a new account with the same mail), I read that this can be done, it's a must to get my commit count in the eyes of human resources when looking for a job.
I'm a student and I can't use the pro account (hence co-pilot) because it's linked to my previous account!
Answer me for gods sake :D don't make me feel alone in this vast land.
