Image Zoom ends user session

Hello,

I viewed an .svg file (4MB) with xviewer. At a certain zoom level, the menu bar and toolbar at the top doubled and the status bar at the bottom disappeared.
Even more serious, however, was that when I increased the zoom further, the user session ended and I found myself back at the login screen. The discussion about this can be found here:
