devlopment version install Error : object ‘as_tibble’

When installing the development version I get

Error : object ‘as_tibble’ is not exported by 'namespace:tibble'

Nontheless I had the same problem and found the answer:
you need to install the github version of tibble to install the github version of plotly
install_github("hadley/tibble")
install_github("plotly")

You can do that from CRAN too, it seems it's just a forgotten dependency. From R :
install.packages("tibble") ; install.packages("plotly")
That's it!

Having the same issue. I can confirm the solution suggested by @Minded13 worked for me.

However, there are two things that still puzzle me - a) In DESCRIPTION file plotly seems to import tibble b) I had tidyverse installed (and updating tidyverse did not help)
